Dee Dee is the estranged younger sister of Moira, who she hasn't seen or heard from in over a decade.
Overview[]
Dee Dee makes an unexpected visit to Moira and Johnny to generously give them some money for their recent troubles after they had lost everything, and forced to relocate to Schitt’s Creek, downsizing considerably; Dee Dee on-the-other-hand stays at the Comfort Inn in Elmdale during her visit, citing the gym and wanting to stay in shape. She also says she had initially wanted to come visit when she heard about their lives collapsing, but she had been given a big promotion at her job. She thanks the internet for letting her know they were still alive.
Despite Dee Dee making an offer to gleefully pay back the $50,000 the Roses once gave her, Moira has no intention of reuniting with her, who believes Dee Dee's on-the-surface generosity to be veneer for gloating. Johnny, however, wants Moira to swallow her pride and graciously accept whatever monetary gifts Dee Dee wants to throw their way.
Dee Dee makes her only appearance in the episode Little Sister.

- It is presumed that “Dee Dee” is a nickname, it being short for a name such as Denise, Deidre, Deanna, etc.

- Since Dee Dee is Moira’s sister, it is implied that she, like Moira, grew up in a small town similar to Schitt's Creek, where she took pride in her self-sufficiency and ability to master the basics of everyday living; that is until she accumulated vast wealth.
- Dee Dee resides in a townhouse in Buffalo, New York.
- She is the only outside member of the immediate Rose family who makes an appearance on the show.
