"Happy Ending" is the fourteenth episode and finale of the sixth season of Schitt's Creek. It is the eightieth episode overall.
This episode serves as the series finale.
Plot Summary
It's the day of David and Patrick's wedding, and Mother Nature has kyboshed what was supposed to be their outdoor ceremony, they not having made any backup. While Patrick did preplan to placate David for whatever meltdown he would have had this day regardless of the reason, a massage; he didn't, however, anticipate the extent this massage plan would have. Regardless, Patrick's measure doesn't deal with what to do about their ceremony. Johnny takes the lead in trying to organize what to do about the wedding, but beyond what he is able to do with the help of the other residents of town, other issues may arise which may mar the event in David's eyes, including Alexis' choice of attire, a white, wedding-like, dress, and the officiant being able to hold it all together. Throughout the day, each of the Roses come to the realization that this will be the last day of their collective existence as residents of Schitt's Creek, which would not have been a problem when they first moved there, but may result in bittersweet emotions now.
