Ivan is a hapless Southeastern European quarry worker living in Schitt's Creek whose true passion is baking.
Overview[]
Ivan bakes a variety of goods at his in-home bakery, including the traditional Balkan vatritzas, böreks, and gibanicas, but also Danishes, éclairs, American-style toaster popping tarts, cinnamon buns, and his specialty: muffins.
He provides Johnny Rose and the Rosebud Motel with cinnamon buns every morning, which are served as a continental breakfast to the motel's guests. Ivan is also smitten for Twyla and can't formally speak to her without getting nervous but never fails to provide her and the Café with muffins.

- It is possible that Ivan is Bosnian as the actor who portrays him (Jasmin Geljo) hails from Bosnia and Herzegovina. This also works as many of the traditional bakery items he makes are Balkan, a region in southeastern Europe where Bosnia is located.
- Assuming his age matches with that of his actor, Ivan would have been born in the People's Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the federal states of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
