The Regional Association of Municipalities Conference, or RAMC, is a conference that brings together all the civic municipalities in the region, including the one from Schitt’s Creek. The conference is held at Thornbridge Suites, a hotel in the town of Thornbridge.
Overview[]
In 2016, newly appointed Schitt’s Creek town councilor Moira Rose attends the 15th annual Regional Association of Municipalities Conference with mayor Roland Schitt, a place where Schitt's Creek generally get little notice. However, after making an impassioned speech, resulting in a big funding boost for the municipalities during one of the conference sessions, Moira and Schitt's Creek become the toast of the event.
Encouraged by Roland to build off the momentum of the speech, Moira reluctantly decides to attend the social mixer in the Diamond Club (the hotel bar) after the sessions of the day have concluded, where she ends up imbibing just a little too much; a hung over Moira with little remembrance of the past twelve hours or so awakens the next morning face down on the bed in Roland's hotel room, with Roland in his birthday suit asleep next to her. Roland would later assure her that nothing happened between them.
