Schitt's Creek Wiki

In November of 2015, Ronnie Lee hosted a gathering for members of the Women’s Business Association at her home in Schitt’s Creek. Then-candidate, Moira Rose was invited to speak at the event, as not only was she looking for Ronnie’s endorsement in the election, but looking to get votes from prospective key voting groups, as Ronnie implied that she and this group of women were open to lending their support to whichever candidate was willing to work toward the wants of their key demographic.

However, Moira makes some assumptions as to what that key demographic is, thinking this group of women represent the women LGBT+ demographic, not a women-business-owners association. And after learning of her mistake last second before her speech to the group, Moira ends up rolling out a business-centered adaption of the speech; mainly replacing any words relating to the LGBT+ with “business”.

One such business owner, Karen, spoke out to Moira, stating she wanted to elect someone who understood the pressures of both working and raising a family.

Equality. Freedom. Marriage. These are the rights of every community, and even more specifically The business community. No faction of society deserves to be discriminated against, especially women who are in business faction. One of my top priorities will be to change people's misguided and ignorant perceptions of women like you. You did not choose this life! No, each one of you was born to be an entrepreneur.
